What young people say about food

This report from the UK think tank Food Foundation summarises workshops held with over 300 schoolchildren from across the UK to discuss their understanding of and experiences with food insecurity and food poverty.

According to the report, young people want schools to consider price, portion size and dietary requirements in the food they offer and provide a dedicated teacher to deal with food poverty issues. They also want more realistic portrayals of food and mealtimes in adverts and on social media.
