Harnessing the power of food citizenship

The Food Ethics Council has published a report on food citizenship, which it defines as a growing movement of people acting as interdependent participants in our food systems, not just as producers or consumers in linear supply chains.

This new report aims to highlight the window of opportunity that, it says, is currently opening across the food sector for food citizenship to take root. Using examples, case studies and conversations with food citizenship pioneers across UK food and farming systems, it invites readers to reflect on how they nurture themselves as food citizens and how to engage with others within organisations and beyond.
