WWF and the insurance company Allianz have published a study undertaken by the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change that looks at the implications of certain tipping points being reached in the earth's system if the global temperature increases beyond 2 degrees C.
The study explores the impacts of these tipping points, including their economic consequences and implications for the insurance sector. It also shows how close the world is to reaching 'tipping points' in many regions of the world, or how close we are to tipping the scales toward disaster.
