At the CIES World Food Business Summit in June 2008 in Munich, KPMG and CIES conducted a detailed survey of over 200 members of the global food and drink industry to provide an insight into the industry's growth plans and strategy, and its approach and response to sustainability.
The companies surveyed spanned retailers, manufacturers and service providers and associations. KPMG and CIES have published a paper synthesising the results of this survey along the four main themes of growth, sustainability, cost optimisation and human capital.
