The WWF-Germany have published a study - Sustainability standards for biofuels - which provides an overview of the key ecological and social impacts of bioenergy.
The report looks at the legal situation as regards standard setting and at the options for implementation. It goes on to make recommendations as to how a core set of standards might be developed which ensure the sustainability of future bioenergy supplies.
