Confining itself to impacts up to the 'farm gate' the review's overall aim was to conduct an independent desk-based analysis of the scientific evidence of the impacts of the UK's forage-based livestock sectors (beef, sheep and dairy production) on emissions of the three main GHGs: carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide.
