Kwantlen’s Institute for Sustainable Food Systems has created a food policy database for British Columbia, Canada with over 2000 entries, incorporating 40% of the municipalities in the province.
The database was created in order to help municipal planners who are looking to integrate sustainable food solutions into their communities. The ISFS is currently working with the University of Alberta to create a similar database for municipalities in that province. They are also willing to share their methodology with researchers elsewhere wishing to put together a database.
To access the database, see here. For an article about the work, see here.
