IFPRI has published an infographic showing the relationship between GDP and childhood stunting on the one hand; and between economic growth and overweight/obesity on the other.
Some countries (with China a case in point) seem to do much better than others in reducing the incidence of stunting per unit of GDP on the one hand while keeping in check obesity levels on the other (although obviously the situation might change). India looks pretty terrible on both counts.
