The Green Alliance has published a new report called Teaching homes to be green: smart homes and the environment. The report examines the potential of smart technology for reducing the environmental impact of our homes.
It says that while not much is yet known about their possibilities smart features do have a role to play in improving the performance of homes and makes a series of recommendations for increasing the evidence base and developing policy mechanisms for supporting smart features. The report covers some smart features that have a bearing on cooking and food.
