FoE UK recently launched its Food Chain campaign, which seeks to raise awareness of the environmental and social impacts of intensive livestock production and asks government to, among other things: stop subsidising intensive livestock production, push for action on the climate impacts of livestock production, incorporate livestock consumption into its sustainable consumption and production policies, and fund more research into sustainable livestock farming alternatives.
