CBI/PWC on GHG reporting

In 2009 the CBI and Price Waterhouse Coopers released this practical guide for companies on reporting greenhouse gas emissions based on a fictitious company, 'Typico plc'. The template illustrates how companies can report their strategy, targets, performance and benchmarking of a company's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and adapt to climate change. It also demonstrates how to connect emissions reporting data with financial data.

While not designed to be a 'one-size-fits-all' guide to greenhouse gas emissions disclosure for all companies to follow, the template does present in practice how a leading company might choose to report a range of climate change and green house gas emissions information.

You can download the guide here.

The CBI has produced various other briefing notes/position statements etc on climate change. You can find them all here.
