Two jobs: Research Associates in Sustainable Food Solutions and Alternative Proteins, Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, University of Oxford, UK

The Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford is advertising two roles:

  • A Research Associate for the Oxford Sustainable Food Solutions project, which aims to convene enterprise, investment and government to trigger interventions in the food system to support net-zero and improvements in public health. Applications are welcome from researchers who work to overcome food system data and evidence gaps to provide solutions that could help accelerate transitions to more sustainable outcomes. This research can focus on any part of the food system (e.g. agriculture, food and food behaviours, food policy, food system modelling, etc.) or at any scale (e.g. individuals, corporations, cities, landscapes, global systems, etc.).   • A Research Associate in Alternative Proteins to work on two distinct but related databases on alternative proteins. The first half of your time in this role will be spent working on a database of alternative protein investments, and the role will involve growing this database and analysing it for key insights and trends. The second half of your time in this role will be spent working with environmental impact data on alternative proteins, expanding and analysing the data from a new data platform. Read more here.
