Inspiring Change

  • Develop and implement innovative campaign strategies to build awareness of and engagement with our strategic mission
  • Manage and oversee key communication channels including websites, social media platforms and press
  • Support colleagues in Food Works in translating their social impact into public engagement

Community Engagement

  • Build public support for and engagement with our mission with volunteers, customers, partners and the general public
  • Lead and support the Community Engagement team to recruit, train, and empower volunteers to engage with campaign activities, daily operations and outreach efforts.
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with organisations, communities and stakeholders to amplify our message and reach new audiences.

General duties

  • Collaborate within the executive team on the development of strategies and activities to further our mission and impact.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a proactive member of the management  team, taking on lead roles on policy issues where relevant and appropriate
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility for the job and actively support the aims of Food Works Sheffield

Commitment: This is a new full-time permanent role which is available from June 1st 2024. Food Works values a healthy work-life balance, which includes a 36-hour working week and a generous 34 days of leave. Food Work operates 7 days a week and although this role has no primary weekend function, there can be times when you will be asked to support weekend activities. We aim to agree working schedules with consideration for everyone’s personal lives and actively work to support flexible working hours 

Salary: £29,427.84  per annum, with opportunities to progress to an executive role at £ £32,797.44 for a suitable candidate
