SEI’s Project Communications and Impact Division supports the implementation of the communications strategy for the Green Agenda for Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine project. We seek a project communications intern to work closely with the Senior Communications and Impact Officer and wider GA GUMA project team to support this implementation.

The Green Agenda for Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia (GA GUMA) project supports these countries in their journey towards climate neutrality and green transition, aiming to create green transition roadmaps that bolster sustainable economies, citizen health and wellbeing and security.

The project’s aligns with the principles of the European Green Deal. It aims to tackle key focus areas and crosscutting aspects, such as finance, digitalization and social impacts. These include climate action, clean energy, circular economy, efficient renovations, sustainable food, sustainable mobility, preserving biodiversity and zero pollution.

The internship will consist of the following main tasks:

  • Content development: assist in conducting research and craft compelling content for diverse communication channels, including social media, newsletters and website materials. Help to draft and disseminate press releases and media kits. Assist in conducting interviews and drafting informative stories that focus on the GUMA initiatives.
  • Monitoring and evaluation: help in assessing the impact of project communications by analyzing data, gathering feedback, and preparing insightful updates on the effectiveness of various communication approaches.
  • Graphic design and multimedia production: assist in creating engaging infographics, visuals and promotional materials. Assist in producing multimedia content, such as videos and webinars, to convey project information and captivate a wider audience (depending on your capacities).
  • Event support: contribute to the planning and execution of exciting events like workshops, conferences and public engagement activities.

Profile

We are looking for a person who is studying political science, economics, international development, communications, or similar, preferably with a focus on climate change and/or sustainable development.

You are fluent in English and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You understand social media platforms; and have a knowledge of content creation, including drafting social media posts, articles and press releases. You have basic graphic design skills. You have an ability to conduct a limited research, gather data, and analyze information. You are willing to work in a collaborative environment and have a natural ability to coordinate and drive tasks forward.

This internship can also be part of your thesis work.
