Organiser's description (via St George's Bristol):

The need for a fair, secure and sustainable food system has never been as great, as the planet is put under unprecedented pressure from climate change, population growth and geopolitical upheaval. Join philosopher Julian Baggini, Dr Tara Garnett from Oxford University and Guy Singh-Watson as they try to identify the key principles for our food world, drawing on the experiences of human societies across the planet and across time.

In the second half of this relaxed salon, the discussion will be driven by the audience’s questions and comments.

Dr Tara Garnett has worked on food for over 25 years within both the NGO and academic sectors. Tara is a researcher at the University of Oxford and the Director of TABLE . TABLE explores visions for the future of food, and provides a platform for constructive dialogue.
