Join us online for the latest in our series of Panel Discussion events, focusing on the theme of responsible food production and consumption. This is an opportunity to quiz our prestigious panel and join the discussion.

Chairing the event is Professor Sarah Bridle, Chair in Food, Climate and Society at University of York. Sarah's current research focuses on synthesising, exploring and effectively communicating environmental and nutrition impacts of different dietary options, with the aim of driving changes in food production methods and portfolios to be healthy for people and planet. Sarah founded the Take a Bite out of Climate Change project, including leading a stand at the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition 2019.

Speakers:

Prof. Mamudu Akudugu - Director of the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research at University of Development Studies (UDS) in Ghana. Mamudu has been instrumental in a collaborative project with York academics on African Agri-food Knowledge Transfer Partnership (AAKTP), which redesigned the agri-food value chains and developed an innovative, nutritious, food product that would improve the health and wellbeing of children from poor households.
