Wageningen University and Research is offering a PhD position to study soils as a sink and source of pesticide residues in the terrestrial ecosystem. This is part of the SPRINT project, which seeks to develop a Global Health Risk Assessment Toolbox to assess impacts of Plant Protection Products on ecosystem, crop livestock and human health.
Applicants should have completed a MSc in bio- or geosciences, environmental sciences, chemistry or comparable direction; have experimental, analytical, communication and writing skills; and preferably experience with working on pesticide analysis/soil microbiome.
