International online PhD course: A bio-based society - from principles to practice, Wageningen, Netherlands

Wageningen University and Research is offering a course for PhD students on the transition towards a bio-based society, which is inspired by the more general idea of a circular economy. 

Key issues that will be addressed are:

(i) The key principles of a bio-based society and what its implications are for the food system and production of biomaterials.

(ii) How quality and safety of products in a bio-based society can be guaranteed.

(iii) What is needed to foster a transition towards a bio-based society.

(iiii) The changes in society that are needed to enable a transition towards a circular bio-economy, involving technological, organisational, behavioural, market and institutional changes.

This course will be of great interest to PhD students and professionals interested in the circular aspects of the bio-economy and how this can be achieved.

The number of participants is limited to 35 persons and priority will be given to PhD students.
