The Climate Smart Chefs Roadmap to Vision 2030 is aimed at understanding the role of chefs as change makers to improve the health of people and planet in the EU, as highlighted by the Farm to Fork Strategy. A series of five online roundtables will be held between October 2022 and June 2023 to develop the roadmap and promote debate at the EU level amongst stakeholders including policymakers, civil society, private sector, research institutions, universities and chefs themselves to identify strengths, potential and areas of improvement in ongoing projects/initiatives. Its final output is the Climate Smart Chefs Vision 2030 strategic policy paper, which gathers views and vision of the food sector stakeholders, aimed at decision-makers at EU level to input into future policies on food and the climate change.
The first roundtable will take place on Wed 12 October 2022 at 4 pm CET on Zoom. It will act as a kick-off to discuss the opportunities for chefs to be part of a wider EU strategy for healthy and sustainable food. We will also discuss the focus topics for the detailed roundtables to come later in the program: healthy sustainable diets, food waste, technology tools for chefs.
